S. Mustafi after the game "Everton" told himself that he would never return to England again.

Shkordanas Mustafi could have become a defensive stalwart for London's "Arsenal" team. The footballer left the "Everton" team in 2012 and said to himself that he would never return to play for an English team again.

Mustafi was with the "Everton" team for three years, but never appeared in a "Premier" league match during that time. It was during this period that the defender considered the worst stage of his career and was convinced that he would never return to England.

After a warming bench, the defender moved to the "Sampdoria" team, and after two years to the "Valencia" club. After spending two years in Spain, the German still returned to England, where he spent a season with "Arsenal."

"Honestly, at the beginning of my career, I thought it was all over with England. I was very upset at that time, and it was the worst time of my career," the German said about playing for "Everton."

"I didn't want to come back here, but then I had to make a decision to stay with the 'Valencia' team or leave. And I told myself that I would leave only if there was an opportunity to play in England. I was grateful for getting a second chance to take a step forward and join 'Arsenal.' I no longer want to be as patient as I was in the 'Everton' team," Mustafi shared unpleasant memories.
