Sergio Ramos got lucky - a few steps closer to the field and Madrid's "Real" captain would have been disqualified for the first UEFA Champions League semi-final match.
S. Ramos had to watch the match against Turin's "Juventus" from the stands due to yellow cards on Wednesday, but when the result became alarming (0:3), the defender decided to support the team from the tunnel next to the bench.
After the match, the referee noted the episode in the protocol and it was started to be talked about UEFA punishing the Spaniard, as he violated the rules.
However, S. Ramos did not break any rules - it is stated in them that a suspended player cannot appear at the field access points, but being in the tunnel or in the team's locker room is not prohibited.
From the episode, it is seen how S. Ramos was ready to climb even higher stairs after the awarded penalty kick, but he was stopped by one of the club's representatives from an incautious behavior that could have cost him disqualification.
"Real" will face "Bayern" in the semi-finals.
