Saudi Arabia's league failed to attract yet another well-known European player.

As reported by "Sport", an unnamed club from the country made every effort to sign Barcelona defender Sergi Roberto.

However, the 31-year-old player said "no."

S. Roberto wanted to show loyalty to coach Xavi and continue to serve as the club's captain.

If successful, Barcelona would have received a 15 million euro transfer fee.
