The director of the Bayer Leverkusen club, Simon Rolfes, confirmed that Victor Boniface will stay with the team:

"There were talks about his future, but we are happy that he is training with us. I can assure you that the forward will remain with our team.

The Nigerian feels good here, and his attitude towards the club is invaluable.”

Victor Boniface was actively pursued by the Riyadh club Al-Nassr, but they acquired Jhon Duran instead.
