The "Monaco" club, which rose to second place, celebrated victory in the rival's fortress, defeating the "Lorient" footballers thanks to goals in the second half by Thomas Lemar and Joao Moutinho.
Meanwhile, the struggling "Marseille", which had already risen to the middle of the tournament table, forced the "Caen" to surrender in an away match, causing the failure to drop to the seventh place - one step higher than the team led by Michel.
In this match, the city's footballers were ahead in the 12th minute with a goal from Michy Batshuayi, and the lead was doubled by Georges N'Koudou after an hour of play. Shortly after, Sylvio Rodelinas scored a goal for the hosts, but in the 83rd minute, "Marseille" solidified the victory with a goal from Bouna Sarr.
In the evening match between "Saint-Etienne" and "Lyon", the team playing at home celebrated a hard-fought victory. Although "Lyon" played more actively, controlled the ball longer, and attacked more, the only goal was scored by Christophe Galtier's team.
