Yesterday, the first two matches of the 28th round of the "Serie A" championship were played.
In the first one, the Genua "Sampdoria", who are currently struggling in the lower part of the standings, defeated the absolute underdog "Hellas" in Verona.
They needed just half an hour to do so, as during this time Roberto Soriano, Antonio Cassano, and Lazaros Christodoulopoulos scored goals.
This victory is very important for Vincenzo Montello's team, as it allowed them to temporarily climb from the seventeenth position to the thirteenth.
A bit later, "Napoli", who are fighting for the championship title, won against another Verona team, "Chievo", at home. However, the opponents sent the Southern Italian club into a tailspin right at the beginning.
Nicola Rigoni managed to steal the ball on the hosts' side of the field and send it into the top corner of the goal, but Gonzalo Higuain responded with a precise shot in less than five minutes.
In the final minutes of the first half, Vlad Chiriches scored with his head, and in the 70th minute, Jose Callejon dashed the guests' hopes of at least earning a point.
