As the elite youth leagues move towards the final, this week revealed three teams that secured their place on the U15 division podium, while the U18 division saw maximum intrigue regarding the owners of the silver and bronze medals.
[U18] In the "Emerald" division this week, only one match was played in Klaipėda, but it had a huge impact on the tournament table. FA Šiauliai-SG team won in the port city, extending their winning streak to four.
Šiauliai moved up to second place, surpassing the young "Riteriai" due to a better goal difference. There are still two rounds left in the division, and four clubs realistically compete for the silver and bronze medals.
[U16] Panevėžys defeated their peers from "Be1 NFA" in an away match, strengthening their chance to finish in second place. This result pleased the "Geležinis vilkas," who defeated the Kaunas Žalgiris team and reduced the gap to the third place to just two points.
In the direct broadcast matches of this round, viewers saw the leader of the "ruby" division, "Žalgiris," playing against Kaunas FM in the port city. The residents of Klaipėda defeated the champions, who had previously secured the title, and will try to rise above the fifth place in the future.
In the group for lower places, the Vilnius Football Academy team defeated "Hegelmann" during the week and then lost to Marijampolis after a penalty shootout, with whom they are fighting for seventh place. Talentų FA-FK "Riteriai" beat "Hegelmann" peers after a penalty shootout. On June 10th, these group teams will conclude their performance in the 2022-2023 championship.
[U15] After playing 30 matches in the "sapphire" division, the first place is occupied by the "Be1 NFA" team, which defeated their peers from Vilnius BFA on Friday. "Žalgiris" defeated "Banga" in an away match and maintains a one-point gap from the division leader.
"Geležinis vilkas" lost at home to the people of Klaipėda, thus losing the chance to rise above fourth place and surpass the representatives of the Baltic Football Academy.
In the group for 7-12 places, the Panevėžys team won in Alytus after a penalty shootout and almost secured a finish in the seventh position. In this round, A. Narbekovo FA defeated the people of Šiauliai, and the young "Riteriai" beat "Gintaras" and overtook the people of Šiauliai in the fight for ninth place.
