Hungarian football fans unleashed racist chants aimed at England's national team stars. On September 2nd, the Hungarian national team played the 2022 World Cup qualifying match at home and suffered a 0:4 defeat against Gareth Southgate's team. Local fans, agitated, throughout the match, sought to insult black European vice-champion players with racist chants, especially targeting Raheem Sterling and Jude Bellingham. It is reported that FIFA, after analyzing the received material, fined the Hungarian Football Federation 215,000 US dollars and ordered them to play two home matches without spectators in the stands. However, the punishment for the second match will come into effect in case of similar incidents within a two-year period.
