The Italian club paid 12 million euros for the forward from the Uruguayan team. A. Alvarez scored 23 goals and made 5 assists in 2021 representing the „Penarol“ team. In the „Sassuolo“ team, the Uruguayan, dubbed the new Luis Suarez, could replace Gianluca Scamacca, who is close to a move to PSG.
