S.Berlusconi steps down: "Milan" owner's purchases most disappointing

Yesterday it was officially announced that the team "Milan" is being sold to a group of Chinese investors. The portal "Goal" compiled a list of the most disappointed former owner Silvio Berlusconi's purchases.

Cristophe Dugarry. "You took Dugarry instead of Zinedine Zidane" - this accusation has long haunted Silvio, who led the "Milan" club for 30 years, for his choice of the "Bordeaux" striker in 1996.

Edgar Davids. The Dutchman, who played in the fashion capital for just a couple of seasons, was called a "rotten apple" and transferred to Turin's "Juventus", where he flourished as one of the best players in his position.

Cristian Ziege. In 1996, the defender, who cost "Milan" 10 million euros, from Germany, did not live up to expectations.

Patrick Kluivert. The promising forward from the Netherlands arrived at "Milan" in 1997 and was quickly sold. However, the Italians did not lose out, as "Barcelona" coughed up 30 million euros.

Jose Mari. S.Bersluconi did not give up and continued to seek talents from the Old Continent. Bought for 40 million, J.Mari scored just 5 goals in three years.

Roque Junior. Supposed to be a rock in defense, but it seems that the 20 million paid to "Palmeiras" went to waste.

Fernando Redondo. Costing 35 million, one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe in August 2000 suffered a serious injury and played only 16 matches for "Milan".

Rivaldo. The famous Brazilian who brightly supplemented the club later became a substitute for the team that triumphed in the Champions League.

Cristian Vieri. One of the best Italian strikers of all time decided to switch from one Milan club to another, but could not withstand the competition from Andriy Shevchenko and Alberto Gilardino, and after half a season he moved to "Monaco".

Fernando Torres. After releasing Mario Balotelli, "Milan" turned to an out-of-form forward. However, he never bounced back in Italy.
