S.Blatter: L.Messi did not deserve the "Golden Ball" at the World Cup

The FIFA president Sepp Blatter claims that Argentine national team captain and leader Lionel Messi did not deserve to win the award for the best player of the 2014 World Cup.

In the World Cup held in Brazil, Argentina represented by L.Messi lost to the German national team in the final. The forward received the "Golden Ball", although many were surprised and expected to see this award in the hands of a player from the German national team.

"I think the decision to award the 'Golden Ball' to Lionel Messi was incorrect," said Blatter at a press conference in Moscow.

"I was surprised when I received the committee's decision. They told me that 10 players who played in the World Cup final were nominated for this award," the FIFA president concluded.

It is worth noting that L.Messi scored four goals in the 2014 World Cup.
