"Barcelona" players may have already silently been thinking about the upcoming UEFA Champions League semi-final, but their hopes were shattered in Rome.
The determined players of the Italian club scored three goals and confidently avenged their defeat at home.
After the 0:3 fiasco, "Barcelona" goalkeeper Sergio Busquets said:
"This is probably the most painful failure in my entire career. Especially when you look at how we lost, how we played in the first match, and what a good season we had so far.
After all, it is always most important to pay attention to every match. Unfortunately, today this season has ended for us and we were eliminated from the Champions League," Busquets said.
"Now the team is in a very difficult position. A sad evening that we would like to forget. The Italians surpassed us in all areas, as they needed such a result, which, unfortunately, the opponents achieved."
