On Friday evening, the 15th round of the German "Bundesliga" championship started with the first matches being played.
At the "Veltins Arena" stadium in Gelsenkirchen, "Schalke" clashed with the players of "Hannover". Supported by their fans, the "Schalke" team defeated their opponents with a score of 3-1 without much difficulty.
All four goals were scored in the second half. In the 73rd minute, the hosts took the lead 2-0 with goals from Johannes Geis and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
In the 81st minute, "Hannover" revived the intrigue, but Franco Di Santo's goal just a minute later finally ended the guests' hopes of at least extending a point in this match.
After the victory, "Schalke" moved up to fourth place with 24 points, but after all the matches of the 15th round, the Gelsenkirchen team could still end up in eighth place.
