Bernd Schuster is stepping down from the position of head coach in Istanbul.
The team led by the German has been supplemented with such well-known footballers in Europe as Ricardo Quaresma, Guti, Hugo Almeida, and Simao, but they are currently only in 7th place in the Turkish championship with 36 points in 25 matches.
Schuster led Madrid's "Real" club for one and a half seasons in 2007-2008 and became the champion of Spain, but he stepped down from his position, giving way to Juande Ramos.
Until the end of the season, the helm of "Besiktas" will be taken over by Schuster's assistant Tayfur Havutcu.
