"Vilnius": Kijewski; Grudzinskas (46' Mrowiec), Artiomovas, Khubutia; Lukša, Panka, Rinaldo, Juca (46' Radavičius), Paulinho; Laurišas, Adilson (25' Wasiu)

Of the four matches between the teams this year, of which two were in the LFF Cup, "Žalgiris" was the only one who won, in addition, the team recently won four consecutive victories in the championship, while "Vilnius" had not experienced the joy of victory in the last six matches. Before the match, it was also revealed that the Brazilian coach of "Vilnius," Caio Zanardi, due to family circumstances, returned to his homeland, so he was temporarily replaced on the bench by Ivan Švabovičius.

The teams started the match quite actively, and at the beginning of the encounter, after a couple of formal attacks, "Vilnius" players Eimantas Poderis and Julijonas Bursukas tried to threaten the "Žalgiris" goal, but their shots were not strong enough and did not cause any major problems for goalkeeper Maciej Kijewski.

Both teams began to attack more frequently, with "Vilnius" creating more dangerous opportunities. The result remained unchanged and the boring match ended goalless. The point gained allowed "Žalgiris" to temporarily surpass "Sūduva" and catch up with "Vėtra", who played three fewer matches, while "Vilnius" remains in eighth place and will have to focus all its attention on the LFF Cup tournament.
