Scottish coach: and you were criticizing that we only achieved one point in Lithuania... © EuroFootball.com

Scotland's national team strategist Craig Levein says that the victory against Liechtenstein could play a crucial role in securing a place in the European Championship qualifiers.

In Group I, the Scots at home scored a winning goal against the group's underdogs in the 97th minute, even though the referee had added only 5 minutes.

"I am not interested in others pointing fingers at negative things," Levein said after the 2-1 victory. "We earned three points and are in first place in the group. I am happy about that because it could mean a lot in the future."

Many were surprised by Lithuania's victory in another match in this group against the Czech Republic's national team.

"The Lithuanians defeated the Czech Republic, and yet we were criticized for only earning a point in Kaunas on Friday," Levein insisted.
