"Ekranas" was forced to admit Vilnius "Žalgiris" superiority in front of their viewers with a score of 0:3. After the victory, the guests increased the gap in the tournament table from "Ekranas" to four points. After the lost match at home to "Žalgiris," "Ekranas" coach Valdas Dambrauskas expressed regret for such a team performance. However, the strategist insisted that not everything is lost yet, as the championship is long. "It's hard to say anything after such a match. First of all, I would like to apologize to the team's fans, the most loyal supporters who supported us throughout the game. It is not acceptable to play like we started the match, like we played in the first half. Maybe the players burned out because the start of the match was particularly unsuccessful," - said "Ekranas" coach Valdas Dambrauskas after the defeat at the press conference. After the loss, "Ekranas" team coach Valdas Dambrauskas first apologized to the audience for the failure and assured that the Ekranians will bounce back in the next matches. "When you lose a match by such a margin, it becomes clear that maybe the tactics are bad, the players did not fulfill their tasks, and everything is wrong. We started the match with three center-backs, but exactly from the area that should have been best protected, we conceded the first two goals," - the reasons for the loss were discussed by the "Ekranas" manager. "In such a situation, of course, the worst thing would be to do nothing at all. Losing 2:0 or 3:0 doesn't make a big difference, so we tried to strengthen the attack, start a counterattack. At the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half, it seemed like we succeeded, but at that moment we conceded another goal. Very naive and childish. After the score was 2:0, the match was until the next goal. Either we score and get back into the game, or "Žalgiris" scores a third and the match is over. They scored, and we no longer had a chance to come back," - V. Dambrauskas explained the decision to immediately strengthen the attack after conceding goals. "Football is great because there are always other matches where you can make up for it. I think now we will be angry and motivated for the next match. I really hope that today we lost the battle, but the war is still ongoing," - V. Dambrauskas talked about the upcoming championship matches.
