After the Lithuanian Football Federation Cup final, which "Ekranas" lost to VMFD "Žalgiris" 1:3 on penalties, the team's head coach Valdas Urbonas had no complaints, everyone gave a lot of effort, the game was influenced by the fact that injured players could not play in this match.

Head coach of "Ekranas" Valdas Urbonas: "It was a real cup final, with extra time, with penalty shootouts. Congratulations to "Žalgiris" for winning this trophy. Speaking about the match, moments are quickly forgotten, only the game itself remains, only the team that raises the cup to the top is remembered. The players put in a lot of effort. Corrections had an impact, we lost a key player in the middle when Marko Andelkovic got injured. He organizes the game. Despite that, during extra time, we felt that we had more strength, the players wanted to resolve the end of the match in extra time. There were a few situations from which we could have gained something, but they ended without goals.

Commenting on penalty shootouts is difficult, as the players played for 120 minutes, fatigue undoubtedly played a role. I just want to thank my players for their game, for their fight. We need to look forward. It's a pity that Mantas Savėnas and Andrius Velička couldn't play today. Mantas was sorely missed in organizing the game. It's a shame that an injury stopped his ability to play in the final."
