On Sunday, the 10th round matches of the "SMScredit.lt A League" were played.
Panevėžys "Ekranas" and Alytus "Dainava" met at the Aukštaitija stadium. The defending Lithuanian champions managed to secure a narrow victory after a tough battle without their coach.
In the first half, the teams were evenly matched. The home team took the lead first when Giedrius Tomkevičius scored a goal in the 23rd minute after a corner kick.
However, Alytus managed to equalize the score at the end of the first half with a long-range shot by Tadas Kauneckas, overpowering Artur Juchno.
At the beginning of the second half, "Ekranas" regained the lead. G.Tomkevičius once again brought the team forward.
