Workers at the Bolivian stadium made every effort to prevent the World Cup qualifying match from being postponed. After a heavy rain, there was a risk that the match between Bolivia and Chile teams would not be played due to excessively wet grass. However, this issue was successfully avoided - the match, although delayed, did take place. This was due to the efforts of the Bolivians to collect water and carry it out of the stadium in buckets. Chile's team won the match 3:2.
