It seems that Cristiano Ronaldo took failure against Georgia personally.
Despite the fact that the last group match didn't practically decide anything for the Portuguese, the 39-year-old veteran wanted a victory.
The captain of the Portuguese national team asked for a penalty at least twice in the first half. One request seemed logical - the veteran's t-shirt was pulled by the Georgian defender.
The match referee Sandro Schareris finally could not stand C. Ronaldo and awarded him a yellow card.
In the second half, the story was similar - C. Ronaldo continued to seek his goal, disagreed with some of the referee's decisions again, and was eventually substituted. He was disappointed after the substitution. However, the disappointment was probably more about the game itself and the result than Roberto Martinez's decision.
How is this not a penalty for Portugal?
