"Genoa" president Enrico Preziosi spoke about the resumption date of the "Serie A" championship. According to the manager, currently they are talking about May 9th. The "Serie A" championship had to announce the suspension of the championship due to the spread of the coronavirus and initially April 3rd was set as the date when the championship teams could resume the matches. However, the daily number of deaths from the disease on that date moved significantly further away. "We knew there was a possibility to postpone the 2020 European Championship, and it was the right decision. I don't know how much it will cost, but that was the necessary step so we could finish the national championships. Representatives of "Serie A" and the Italian Football Federation agreed on May 9th, if the situation allows. Players will need to regain their fitness, and that will take a few weeks," clarified E.Preziosi.
