The consequences of the coronavirus led to the "Napoli" team losing points in the Italian championship. The organizers of "Serie A" announced that on October 4, the Naples team, which did not travel to Turin for the match, was given a technical defeat of 0:3. In addition, one of the strongest teams in the league also had points deducted in the standings. The "Napoli" team justified that local authorities banned them from traveling to Turin, as two players (Piotr Zielinski and Eljif Elmas) contracted coronavirus. In turn, the leaders of "Serie A" stated that this was not a force majeure situation, so an exception could not be made.
