Serie A: "Napoli" crushes "Fiorentina", "Juventus" and "Inter" match ends goalless (VIDEO)

Today in the Italian league, eight matches were played, with plenty of intrigue. A surprising result was recorded in Sassuolo, where local footballers defeated last season's bronze medalist, Lazio, by a score of 2-1. The hosts took the lead in the seventh minute when Domenico Berardi converted a penalty kick. Later, after an hour of play, Sassuolo doubled their lead through Simone Missiroli. Felipe Anderson managed to reduce the deficit for the visitors after seven minutes, but Lazio could not extend the score. Another strong team, Sampdoria from Genoa, also unexpectedly lost on the road to newly promoted team Frosinone. The winners scored both of their goals consecutively - Luca Paganini and Federico Dionisi in the 54th and 55th minutes, respectively. In one of the most anticipated matches of the day, Napoli and Fiorentina, both vying for top positions, faced each other. After defeating Milan 4-0 in the previous round, Napoli forced the league leaders to surrender and climbed to fourth place. The match was evenly matched - the teams' statistics were similar. The first goal came at the beginning of the second half after a pass from Marek Hamsik, scored by Lorenzo Insigne. Fiorentina equalized in the 73rd minute thanks to Nikola Kalinic, but soon after, Napoli's sniper Gonzalo Higuain scored accurately to secure the victory for his team. The evening clash between the season-starting Milan Inter and defending champion Juventus was supposed to be a real treat for Italian football fans. However, despite the efforts of both teams, the match ended goalless at the San Siro stadium. "Inter" reduced their gap from Fiorentina to one point after a draw, but Roma, who won yesterday, moved closer to Roberto Mancini's team. Juventus, on the other hand, remains in fourteenth place.
