In the evening's final match, the league leader Juventus faced Verona's "Hellas". Although the opponents' coach promised a fight, the winner was almost clear by the seventh minute, with "bianconeri" leading 2-0.
In the second half, Massimiliano Allegri added two more goals, and after the victory, they opened a five-point gap from the eleventh-placed failed Roma.
