Serie A: "Napoli" easily defeated "Empoli", impressive "Inter" failure in Milan derby (VIDEO)

Today, several Serie A matches were played in Italy.

The team "Napoli", which had lost the first place in the standings for a few hours, immediately reclaimed it by crushing "Empoli" 5-1 at home.

Daniel Paredes scored for the visitors in the 28th minute, but Gonzalo Higuain equalized shortly after and Lorenzo Insigne also scored.

At the beginning of the second half, Michele Camporese scored an own goal, and Maurizio Sarri's team secured the victory at the end of the match with a double from Jose Callejon.

After Verona's "Chievo" defeated Turin's "Juventus" and Napoli, Florence's "Fiorentina" quickly moved up, failing to beat "Genoa" with a goalless draw.

The Milan derby took place at the "San Siro" stadium over the weekend, and as expected, it was a hard-fought match. Although the higher-positioned "Inter" was considered the slight favorite, "Milan" players took the lead after Alex's goal.

Roberto Mancini's team had a great chance to equalize in the second half, but Mauro Icardi missed a penalty, and shortly after, "rossoneri" strikers Carlos Bacca and Mbaye Niang settled all matters.

After this victory, "Milan" maintains a two-point gap from fifth-placed "Roma", but reduces the lead of the "nerazzurri" above them to five points.
