"Serious allegations of fraud against" Watford "club"

"Watford" football club, where goalkeeper Giedrius Arlauskis tries to establish himself, has faced very serious accusations. The English Football League has started an investigation into possible financial document forgery.

"The Telegraph" newspaper claims to have received a forged bank letter, which was presented at the time when Gino Pozzo acquired the "Watford" club. This happened before the 2014-2015 season.

That season, the "Watford" club secured the opportunity to play in the English "Premier" League. It was then that the team acquired G.Arlauskis, who was later loaned out to the Spanish "Espanyol" club, but did not leave a lasting impression and had to return. G.Arlauskis has not managed to become one of the most important players in the "Watford" team.

Now the "Watford" club risks losing points and receiving a financial penalty. The club itself announced that it is conducting an internal investigation.

BBC received confirmation from the English Football League that they have initiated an investigation into "serious allegations" when they received information from "The Telegraph" newspaper.

The "Watford" club has been instructed to provide a detailed response to the accusations.

"The Telegraph" claims that the potentially fabricated documents suggest that the controlling company "Watford - Hornets Investment Ltd" has enough money to receive a bank guarantee.

In other words, the document allowed the Italian G.Pozzo to take over the club from his father. The "Watford" club stated that they have now initiated two investigations and emphasized that after G.Pozzo took over the club, over 20 million pounds were invested in it.
