The Spanish champions club officially announced on Wednesday that the club has extended the contract with the most productive player of the previous season's team, Cameroonian Samuel Eto'o, until 2010. "Now the most important thing for me is to win the UEFA Champions League," S.Eto'o said at a press conference. The 24-year-old Cameroonian, named African Player of the Year in 2004, scored 24 goals last season for the Catalan club. He has become the third player recently to extend his contract with the Catalan super club, following in the footsteps of Portugal's Deco and Spain's Xavi. Promising youth team players Damia and Lionel Messi also recently signed long-term contracts with Barcelona. It is reported that the club is in negotiations to extend the contracts with Dutch coach Frank Rijkaard and Brazilian Ronaldinho, known as one of the best footballers in the world.
