The attacker Samuel Eto'o would like the "Spanish" UEFA Champions League final between "Barcelona" and "Villarreal" to take place in Paris on May 17.
"For the sake of Spanish football, I hope it will happen, but both teams have to fight hard and hope for success in both semifinal matches," said the Cameroonian national team striker to the radio station "Radio Marca."
"Barcelona" will play the first leg of the semifinals against "Milan" in Milan on April 18, and the next day "Villarreal" will face "Arsenal" in London.
The last "Spanish" UEFA Champions League final was in 2000, when in Paris Madrid's "Real" defeated the team of "Valencia."
"In Milan, we have to play as if it were our last match. If we go there just to "see what happens," we will definitely have problems," added S.Eto'o.
Before the Champions League matches, "Barcelona" will host "Villarreal" at home on Friday. A win would bring "Barcelona" closer to the Spanish champions title.
"The Spanish championship is not over yet. We are in a good situation, we have a great advantage, but we would like to secure the title of Spanish champions and then focus on the Champions League battles," said S.Eto'o.
