On Friday evening, the first matches of the 27th round of the Spanish La Liga championship were played.
Barcelona's "Espanyol" welcomed "Las Palmas" players in front of their spectators. In the Catalan capital, the fans witnessed a total of seven goals, and after a tense battle, "Espanyol" celebrated victory.
Already in the first minute of the match, a goal was scored, which put the hosts ahead. However, in the 31st minute, Mauricio Lemos equalized the score, but at the end of the half, Gerardo Moreno once again gave the Catalans a one-goal advantage.
The second half started with another equalizing goal by M. Lemos. The guests failed to maintain this result for long - Pablo Piatti scored a penalty in the 53rd minute.
In the 74th minute, a precise shot by Jurado sealed "Espanyol's" victory. Approaching the end of the match, "Las Palmas" managed to score a third goal, but the visitors could not equalize.
"Espanyol" is in ninth place in Spain, while "Las Palmas" occupies the 12th position.
