Severely injured W. Kvist ended his career in the Danish national team

Denmark's national team received unpleasant news.

Yesterday, painfully withdrawn from the World Cup after a penalty shootout, A.Hareide's students will have to play in the future without goalkeeper William Kvist.

The 33-year-old veteran suffered a serious injury in the group stage match against Peru, where he broke two ribs and punctured lungs.

Kvist announced his withdrawal from the team on social media, thanking "for many beautiful years."

In the ranks of the Danish national team, the goalkeeper played 81 matches and scored two goals.
