"Sevilla" shared a message on their official website stating that the club's head coach Eduardo Berizzo has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The first reports of this started to appear during yesterday's UEFA Champions League match against "Liverpool", and the coach himself mentioned his health for the first time while speaking to the players during halftime.
"Sevilla"'s medical staff reported that the main team's coach Eduardo Berizzo has been diagnosed with prostate adenocarcinoma. Further tests will show us what steps need to be taken for his treatment", the club revealed.
"Sevilla" currently wants to express full support to the coach and wishes him a speedy recovery."
Upon learning about Berizzo's illness, the Spanish representatives in the mentioned match erased a three-goal deficit and impressively leveled the score. It remains to be seen whether the 48-year-old coach will demonstrate the same resilience while battling the disease.
