The head coach of the team, Spanish Joaquín Caparrós, who has been with the team for five years, announced that he will not renew his contract with the club.
It is said that the club officials had offered to extend the Spanish coach's contract for two more years, but on Thursday evening J.Caparrós informed the club that he is leaving the team.
This season, the Sevilla team finished in sixth place in the Spanish championship, which opened the doors for the team to participate in next year's UEFA Cup tournament.
The 49-year-old coach arrived in the capital of Andalusia before the 2000/01 season. Before that, the coach briefly worked with another team.
