On Wednesday, two postponed matches of the 34th round were played in the Spanish "La Liga" championship.
"Barcelona" hosted "Villarreal" at home. The Catalans had no difficulties and crushed their opponents with a score of 5-1.
Already after the first half, "Barca" was leading 3-0. Coutinho scored in the 11th minute, and soon after, Paulinho added another goal. Lionel Messi sent the opponents into despair in the last minute of the first half.
"Villarreal" managed to reduce the lead in the second half, but the hosts did not give the opponents any more chances. At the end of the match, Ousmane Dembele added icing on the cake - the Frenchman scored two goals in six minutes and "Barca" triumphed convincingly.
In other matches, a real surprise was recorded - "Sevilla" defeated "Real" 3-2 throughout the match in their own field.
Zinedine Zidane gave a chance to players who have played less, but they did not justify the hopes of the Frenchman - the Andalusians had gained a significant advantage.
In the 26th minute, Wissam Ben Yedder put the hosts ahead. The "Real" team created almost nothing in the first half and conceded another goal at the end.
In the second half, Sergio Ramos could have brought intrigue back, but his penalty shot did not reach the target. As if that was not enough, in the 84th minute, the third goal fell into Kiko Casilla's net from S. Ramos.
After three minutes, the club's youth product Borja Mayoral reduced the deficit. However, the score was not closed - in the last minute of the match, the referee awarded another penalty to "Sevilla" and this time S. Ramos scored accurately. However, this goal no longer had a major impact.
After the loss, "Real" lost almost all chances to finish the season in second place. Two rounds still remain to be played until the end of the championship.
