Donecko "Shakhtar" team demands a round sum from FIFA. One of the most well-known clubs in Eastern Europe suffered huge losses when Russia invaded Ukraine, and the world football organization made an exceptional decision. FIFA allowed "Shakhtar" players to suspend their current contracts until the end of June next year and move to other teams free of charge. This way, the Donetsk team lost the opportunity to receive crucial income and better protect the club for future battles. "The Athletic" reports that "Shakhtar" lawyers have submitted a claim to the Court of Arbitration for Sport demanding that FIFA cover the incurred losses and pay 50 million euros.
