On Monday evening, the 17th round of the English "Premier" League ended. In the last matches of the round, league newcomers "Sheffield United" played a productive draw at home against "Aston Villa".

2 – 2
2‘ [0 – 1] Stilian Petrov
50‘ [1 – 1] Stephen Qiunn
64‘ [2 – 1] Danny Webber
64‘ [2 – 2] Milan Baroš

Just 2 minutes in, "Aston Villa" took the lead when Stilian Petrov struck accurately from the penalty area line, scoring his first goal of the season.

After the goal, the visitors controlled the game and could have increased their lead, but dangerous shots from Gabriel Agbonlahor and Garry Cahill were well saved by the home goalkeeper Patrick Kenny, and after Chris Sutton's attack, they hit the bar.

At the end of the first half, Sheffield's players regained confidence, and Stuart Taylor was already busy at work.

The second half began stormily. In the 50th minute, the hosts equalized after Stephen Quinn's accurate shot from the left, and in the 64th minute, they turned the score around when Danny Webber headed in from a corner – 2-1.

However, the joy of "United" lasted just a little over 40 seconds. In the very next attack, the score was level again: Steven Davis passed the ball into the penalty area, where C. Sutton headed it to Milan Baroš, who sent the ball into the net from a few meters away – 2-2.

This result visibly did not satisfy the "Sheffield Utd" team, and they pressed the opponents until the end of the match, seeking a winning goal. However, that evening miracles were performed by "Aston Villa" goalkeeper Stuart Taylor.

After these draws, "Sheffield Utd" collected 17 points and rose to 16th place, while "Aston Villa" with 25 points climbed to 8th place.
