A few days ago, Chilean national team defender Gonzalo Jara shocked the football world when he tried to provoke Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani and grabbed the match referee at the "Copa America" tournament.
However, despite his opponent's baiting and later theatrically falling, the player may only be the winner of the day, as a serious threat hangs over his head to end his career in Europe.
The leaders of the "Mainz" club, to which Jara belongs, were disturbed by the player's behavior and said they would accept any offer just to get rid of the Chilean.
"We will not tolerate such actions. What angered me more than the provocation to Cavani was the subsequent action. I absolutely do not tolerate theatrical actions on the pitch, so if there is any offer, the player can pack his bags," said the team's sports director Christian Heidelis.
