Šiauliai secured an important victory against Hegelmann

"TOPsport A lygoje” ended a four-match winless streak in spectacular fashion with a victory by FA "Šiauliai”. The team coached by Mindaugas Čepas won 3:1 (3:0) against the Kauno rajono "Hegelmann” players, who had not experienced a defeat for a long time, in the 29th round.

In the first half, the hosts dominated and were a head above the competition. Active player Deividas Šešplaukis created a good opportunity for a shot, but sent the ball over the crossbar.

In the 28th minute, the hosts took the lead when Davis Ikauniekas scored accurately from 15 meters. Moreover, a couple of minutes later, the same D. Ikauniekas assisted Daniel Romanovski, who scored the second goal.

In the 42nd minute, D. Romanovskis also celebrated with a precise shot – he was assisted by D. Šešplaukis. In the second half, the initiative was handed over to the blue-whites.

Andrius Skerla’s team failed to convert several good opportunities but revived the intrigue in the 79th minute when Michael Thuique redirected the ball into the empty net from close range.
