On Sunday evening, the last 13th round matches of the English Premier League were played.
A fantastic battle took place at the Bramall Lane stadium, where the local Sheffield United hosted the Manchester United players. The hosts, who had a two-goal deficit, were close to leaving empty-handed when Man Utd staged an impressive seven-minute comeback.
Sheffield played aggressive football from the start of the match and gained an advantage in the 19th minute when John Fleck beat David De Gea on his second attempt.
In the second half, it became even harder for the Man Utd team to climb out of the hole – in the 52nd minute, Lys Mousset increased the hosts' lead with a superb long-range shot.
It seemed like the "Red Devils" wouldn't be able to dig themselves out of this situation, but 19-year-old defender Brandon Williams brought the guests back into the game with a powerful shot in the 72nd minute.
After this goal, Man Utd gained confidence in their abilities and started to dominate on the opponents' side of the field. In the 77th minute, a another blow was dealt to Sheffield United – Mason Greenwood, who came on as a substitute, equalized the score after a pass from Marcus Rashford.
Feeling the taste of blood, the Manchester club didn't stop there – just two minutes later, M. Rashford, receiving a pass from Daniel James, sensationally put Man Utd ahead. The visitors managed to eliminate a two-goal deficit and even take the lead during a successful seven-minute spell.
However, the third goal ended the Man Utd pressure, which possibly cost them two points – in added time, Sheffield Utd equalized again after a precise shot from Oliver McBurnie and earned a valuable point.
Sheffield Utd, with 18 points, ranks sixth. Man Utd settles for ninth place.
