Permanently involved in the match against the Spanish national team, Slovak goalkeeper Martin Dubravka entered football history against his will. At the beginning of the match, the 32-year-old footballer heroically guarded the goal and even managed to stop Alvaro Morata's penalty kick. However, eventually the Slovak defense collapsed, and the first one to contribute to that was the veteran himself, accidentally putting the ball into his own net. Thus, M. Dubravka will probably be remembered for a long time in the history of European and world championships as the only player in one match who managed to withstand a penalty kick and score an own goal. The match ended with a convincing victory for the Spaniards 5:0.
