At "Goodison Park" stadium, Liverpool's "Everton" clashed with London's "Chelsea" team, which is not in great sporting form this season. Led by Steven Naismith, the "Toffees" secured a 3-1 victory and handed "Chelsea" their third defeat in five matches.
In the 9th minute, Muhamed Besic had to leave the field, and he was replaced by Steven Naismith. Roberto Martinez's decision was flawless as his team earned three points.
S.Naismith put the hosts ahead in the 17th minute and scored another goal past Asmir Begovic's goal just five minutes later.
Despite two quick goals from "Everton," "Chelsea" did not give up and started pressing their opponents actively. Nemanja Matic managed to reduce the score in the 36th minute, but the second goal from the "Blues" fans was not to be seen.
In the second half, the same S.Naismith sealed the deal, scoring a hat-trick in the match. In the last attack, which ended in a goal, Ross Barkley provided an assist to S.Naismith.
"Everton" now has 8 points and is at the top of the league table. Meanwhile, "Chelsea," with three losses, one win, and two draws, sits in 15th place in the English Premier League.
In other matches, London's "Arsenal" defeated "Stoke City" 2-0, while "Manchester City" narrowly beat "Crystal Palace." The winning goal was scored by 18-year-old Kelechi Iheanacho just a minute before the end of the match.
