"Milan's star Wesley Sneijder predicts that Mario Balotelli could become the best footballer in the world in the future and even be equal to or surpass Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Dutchman played against Balotelli at an Italian club before moving to England's Man City. However, Sneijder didn't forget to add that the striker, who has Italian citizenship, could be hindered by his tough character.
"Mario is an interesting personality. Sometimes, as a footballer, he does incredible things, but off the pitch, he behaves foolishly and completely thoughtlessly," said Sneijder.
"Balotelli knows this, we've talked about it many times last year. However, he's still young, so he often loses self-control. Despite that, he has enormous talent and massive potential to become one of the best in the world. If he starts thinking more, he can definitely be a very bright star."
Sneijder compared Balotelli to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, currently representing Milan: "Their styles are similar - they even almost strike the same way. But Mario is only 20 years old, he hasn't reached the peak of his potential yet."
