Current coach Guy Lacombe may leave the club next season if he finds a dominant offer among the many he has received in recent years.

This weekend, after helping his club win their first title in 66 years - the French League Cup, Lacombe has attracted the interest of bigger French clubs. Interest has already been expressed by La Corunna, [club name], and [club name].

Although Lacombe's contract with Sochaux is valid until 2006, club president Alain Cordier admits that keeping him will be very difficult.

Lacombe is also identified as the most likely candidate to replace coach Didier Deschamps if he were to leave for Turin, which would happen if Monaco is unable to provide enough funds to buy new players next season.
