Defender A. Cole's three-match suspension for appeals was today reduced to one match.

After the incident during the match in September, the player was suspended for six matches.

In that match, the defender was shown a red card for punching the opposing team's player Neil Clement and was immediately suspended for three matches.

But the Football Association's disciplinary committee made the punishment even stricter. They additionally fined Cole for violent actions on the field and insulting words directed at the referee.

However, Fulham club appealed against these committee actions, and the player's punishment was reduced to three matches.

Andy Cole will still have to miss matches against , which will be the player's last while serving the suspension.
