Solskjaer: "Performances are good, but not the results"

"Manchester United" team for the first time since the 1989-90 season after seven rounds in the English "Premier" league has not collected a two-digit points score. Nevertheless, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not rush to criticize his players.

On Monday, the "Red Devils" once again failed to win when they hosted the London team "Arsenal" at home. "Man Utd" led, but at the beginning of the second half, the "Gunners" equalized the score and reached a draw.

After the match, Solskjaer stated that he is satisfied with the team's performance, even though the results are negative.

"There are many things that give me confidence in this team," - said the Norwegian. - "Results are the only important thing, but we can also talk about performances on the pitch. I can name six or seven good performances this season. For example, the match against "West Ham" was very poor in terms of result, but they were not as bad as most people say."

In defense, "Man Utd", strengthened in the summer, faced another problem this season - in attack. "United" only scored more than one goal in one match this season.

It was precisely this problem that Solskjaer mentioned, who before the start of the season showed confidence in Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and Mason Greenwood in attacking positions.

"How many times this season have we led by a minimal margin, but failed to double the lead? It's all part of the learning process. We will continue to work hard, and with more experience, we will make better decisions.

"Just like in the matches against 'Southampton' and 'Wolves', we also led 1:0 against 'Arsenal'. We have to learn how to win such matches," - added Solskjaer.
