The "Southampton" club, struggling in the relegation zone, was close to victory in Saturday's English "Premier" League match, but "Watford" disappointed the entire "Saints" stadium - equalizing the score at the end of the match. After the game, "Sky Sports" journalist Charlie Austin gave a rather scandalous interview, in which the "Southampton" forward expressed his frustration with the referee's work in the last two matches. C. Austin's frustration was caused by a disallowed goal in the second half, which would have allowed the team to gain a lead of up to two goals before Jose Holebas equalized the score in the 82nd minute. The sideline referee in that episode flagged an offside, as "Saints" defender Maya Yoshida had not yet left the field. However, after video replay, it was clear that the Japanese player did not interfere with the ball. C. Austin cannot understand why the "Premier" League, considered the best league in the world, has not yet implemented the VAR system. "It's absurd. "Watford" should not have returned to the game. We scored a perfectly valid goal, but it was disallowed due to an alleged offside," the striker said after the match. "The referees cost us two points today. They claimed it was offside. It's a mockery. People talk about VAR. Referees obviously need help. If this is the best and most watched league in the world, it must provide assistance to the referees. It's absurd," continued C. Austin. When asked about the team's performance, the footballer had no doubt that they deserved to win: "There are many positive things. We worked hard and deserved three points, which we would have gotten if not for the referees' mistakes." It is almost certain that the "Premier" League will impose a monetary fine on him for such statements.

"It is a joke! We play in the Premier League - the officials have cost us two points!"
Fair to say @chazaustin10 was not impressed with the officials in Southampton's draw with Watford: https://t.co/C6EMg2fDrv pic.twitter.com/l2Isr08eLZ
