On Monday evening, the last matches of the 17th round of the English Premier League were played. The struggling Liverpool team, which has recently been in a slump, had to admit defeat to Southampton with a minimal result of 0:1 in an away game. The only winning goal in this match was scored by Danny Ings in the second minute against his former team. If in the first half Liverpool could not boast of many chances, in the second half Jurgen Klopp's players practically did not differ much with the ball, but the "Saints" played sacrificially in defense and expanded their victory against the reigning champions. Liverpool still remains in the first place of the league table, but now the Manchester United team, with the same amount of points, has played one game less.
