"Southampton" ended "Arsenal"s unbeaten streak, E. Hazard led "Chelsea" to victory

At 15:30 in the English "Premier" League, two more matches of the 17th round were played.

The team led by a new coach achieved their first victory in front of their fans since September 1st, Southampton. The "Saints" celebrated not just any victory, but against Arsenal from London, who had not lost in 22 consecutive matches up to this weekend.

Southampton started the match well - in the 20th minute, Danny Ings cleverly scored with a header to put the hosts ahead. However, the "Saints" did not hold on to this advantage for long - Henrikh Mkhitaryan equalized with a goal eight minutes later.

In this season, Arsenal, who had not won in the first half again, was punished with a second goal - D. Ings scored another quality goal with his head.

In the second half, Arsenal, as typical under Unai Emery, immediately sent in Alexandre Lacazette. In the 53rd minute, the score was level again, with H. Mkhitaryan finding the net again, helped by a wayward Southampton defender.

At the end of the match, the events could have turned in favor of either side, but Southampton eventually enjoyed success. In the 85th minute, another goal was scored with a header against Arsenal, this time by Charlie Austin, who replaced D. Ings.

Arsenal, recalling the taste of defeat, fell further behind in fourth place by three points.

In other matches, the London team Chelsea defeated Brighton 2:1. The "Blues" convincingly started the match, but could have squandered the lead towards the end.

In the 17th minute, Pedro scored after Eden Hazard's pass, and Hazard himself increased the lead after 16 minutes.

In the second half, Brighton reduced the deficit in the 66th minute, but Chelsea did not score any more goals in this match, and the "aristocrats" secured their place in the top four.
