Southampton fell at home against Bournemouth

On Friday evening, the first matches of the 6th round were played in the English Premier League.

"Southampton," who had been unbeaten in the last three rounds, hosted "Bournemouth" at home. The successful streak of the "Saints" in the previous matches ended - the guests secured a victory with a score of 3:1.

"Southampton" started the match very poorly, allowing "Bournemouth" to take the lead in the 10th minute with a corner kick scored by Nathan Ake.

In the 35th minute, "Bournemouth" extended their lead with a goal from Harry Wilson after a great pass from Philip Billing.

In the second half, the "Saints" improved their game and caused problems for their opponents from the beginning. Already in the 52nd minute, the hosts were awarded a penalty kick, which was successfully converted by James Ward-Prowse.

"Southampton" dominated possession for most of the remaining time and had several opportunities to equalize towards the end of the match. However, the visitors withstood the pressure and scored another goal in the final moments of the game, sealing the victory.

"Bournemouth" with their third win climbed to the third position in the table. "Southampton" remains in 11th place.
