On Wednesday evening, another intriguing friendly match between national teams took place in the Old World. Spain hosted the Colombian national football team in front of their fans. After a solid start to the match, Julen Lopetegui's players only equalized at the end of the game with a final score of 2-2.
In the 22nd minute, David Silva put Spain ahead after a great pass from Pedro, but in the 39th minute, Edwin Cardona took advantage of the opponents' insecure defense and leveled the score.
In the second half, Colombia did not create many opportunities, but they converted one of the few into a second goal - in the 55th minute Radamel Falcao scored after a set-piece and became his country's top scorer.
Nevertheless, the Spaniards were not willing to lose at home and pressured their opponents. In the 87th minute, Alvaro Morata, who came off the bench, equalized with an excellent header and saved the team from defeat.
